Collecte vêtements introduces an iPhone app for requesting free clothing pickups in the Montréal area, with saved addresses, pickup requests and status tracking.

Montréal, Québec, Canada – October 17, 2026 – Collecte vêtements has launched its first iPhone application, giving residents in the Montréal area a mobile way to request free pickup of clothing, shoes and household textiles. The app is available on the Apple App Store and complements the existing booking service at collectedevetements.ca.

The application brings the steps involved in a pickup request into one place. Residents can save an address, submit a request for a preferred date and time window, and consult the recorded status of that request. A request is then reviewed against the service area and operational availability. Submitting a preferred window does not, by itself, guarantee an appointment or mean that a driver has been assigned.

The pickup service operates within approximately 50 kilometres of central Montréal, with eligibility checked for the specific address. This address-level check matters for households near the service boundary: a nearby municipality name alone is not a confirmation of coverage. Residents can consult the service website for the current collection conditions before preparing their items or submitting a request.

For an eligible residential collection, the service asks for between six and twenty grocery-size bags or boxes. Accepted categories include clothing, shoes and textiles, subject to the preparation instructions on the website. Items should be clean and dry, shoes should be kept in pairs, and bags or boxes should be securely closed. These practical requirements help make the handover manageable and protect the items while they are waiting to be collected.

Residents are asked to keep their prepared items inside until the driver calls. The service describes an advance call approximately thirty minutes before arrival, allowing the household to bring out the bags when the collection is approaching. Leaving clothing outdoors for an extended period can expose it to rain or other damage. The website’s instructions remain the reference for preparation and handover, including any updates made after the app’s launch.

The app also supports saved addresses and optional reminders at intervals of six, eight or twelve months. These reminders are prompts to consider a future collection; they do not create a recurring pickup booking. Each later request still needs to be submitted and confirmed. This distinction gives households a way to remember seasonal sorting without suggesting that a driver will arrive automatically.

French and English information is available through the service’s digital channels. Residents who prefer to use a browser can continue to consult the website and request a collection there. The iPhone app adds another access point to the same pickup service, rather than creating a different service area or changing the preparation requirements. Availability of the application also does not imply a collection can take place on a particular day without confirmation.

The service website is available at https://collectedevetements.ca/. The official Apple App Store listing, including current compatibility and download information, is available at https://apps.apple.com/ca/app/collecte-v%C3%AAtements/id6819114749.
