Graphene Manufacturing (TSXV: GMG) (OTCQX: GMGMF) Battery Breakthrough, Asia Expansion Add Major 2026 Catalysts

September 14, 2026 Graphene Manufacturing Group Ltd. (TSXV: GMG) (OTCQX: GMGMF) is adding new potential catalysts to its 2026 growth story, led by encouraging results from its next-generation G®CELLS graphene battery technology and expansion of its commercial sales presence across Asia-Pacific.

GMG reported that its 1 Ah G®CELLS completed 489 cycles with no performance reduction as of September 4, 2026, despite being charged and discharged in just six minutes per cycle. Testing was conducted by the Battery Innovation Center (BIC) in Indiana using cells made with materials developed, manufactured and supplied by GMG.

Under the same cycling profile, GMG reported that a well-known Lithium Titanate Oxide (LTO) battery declined to approximately 86% of its original capacity after 64 cycles. GMG’s G®CELLS therefore operated for more than seven times as many cycles under the test conditions without the performance degradation observed in the comparison cell.

Alongside Graphene Manufacturing Group Ltd. (TSXV: GMG) (OTCQX: GMGMF), investors are also watching dual-listed U.S. and Canadian resource companies including NOVAGOLD Resources Inc. (NYSE: NG) (TSX: NG), Power Metallic Mines Inc. (TSXV: PNPN) (OTCQB: PNPNF), Manhattan Uranium Discovery Corp. (TSXV: MANU) (OTCQB: MAUUF), and First Mining Gold Corp. (TSX: FF) (OTCQX: FFMGF). The potential leverage available through select early-stage resource companies was recently highlighted by billionaire investor John Paulson in a CNBC interview, where he discussed NOVAGOLD and characterized its gold exposure as effectively acquiring gold for approximately $119 per ounce, or roughly 3% of the prevailing gold price. The comparison highlights why investors may increasingly examine development-stage gold, precious-metals and critical-mineral companies as potential leveraged opportunities in underlying commodity values. The results represent another potentially important milestone for GMG’s battery program, which is being developed under a Joint Development Agreement with Rio Tinto, with support from BIC. Continued validation could strengthen the technology’s potential across energy storage, mining, industrial equipment and other applications requiring rapid charging and high cycle life.

At the same time, GMG has launched an Asia Pacific Sales Team with business development operations across India, South Korea, Japan and Singapore, in addition to Australia. The expansion could accelerate commercial adoption of GMG’s growing graphene product portfolio across some of the world’s largest industrial and technology markets.

GMG’s broader growth platform now includes its Gen 2.0 Graphene Manufacturing Plant, THERMAL-XR®, G® LUBRICANT, G FLUID™ AI data center coolant, Alstom rail collaboration and Graphene Aluminum-Ion Battery technology. Together, these initiatives give the company exposure to AI data centers, advanced materials, industrial cooling, energy efficiency and next-generation energy storage.

For investors, the question for the remainder of 2026 is whether these technology milestones increasingly translate into commercial adoption, customer orders and scalable production. While there is no guarantee GMG/GMGMF shares will trade higher, continued battery validation, expanding product sales and additional strategic partnerships could provide catalysts for the market to reassess the company’s growth potential and valuation.
