DesignNBuy has released a major update to its DesignO platform, introducing integrated sticker production and repeat-pattern design tools that help print businesses streamline workflows, reduce manual design work, and expand their product offerings.

DesignNBuy, a web-to-print software provider serving print businesses in more than 60 countries, has introduced a major update to its DesignO product design platform. The release adds integrated sticker design and production capabilities along with a new repeat-pattern design tool, enabling print businesses to expand their product offerings while managing the entire workflow within a single platform.

The release addresses two areas that print businesses have increasingly asked software providers to support: custom sticker production and repeat-pattern design for textile and surface printing. Both categories have traditionally required businesses to rely on separate graphic design software or manual prepress work before a design was ready for production.

The new sticker workflow covers die-cut, rectangle, oval, circle, and fully custom shape stickers within a single design interface. Rectangle and square stickers are designed with a clean-cut edge suited to product labels, packaging, and promotional use, while oval and circle formats add further shape variety for branding and creative applications.

For custom shapes, customers can upload their own artwork and apply shape cuts directly using the platform’s built-in art tools, allowing fully personalized sticker outlines rather than being limited to standard geometric formats. Customers can also add editable text directly over the uploaded image itself, a capability not commonly found in online sticker design tools, which typically restrict text to a separate layer rather than allowing it to sit directly on top of the artwork. The workflow is designed to support both the personalization side of the process, where a customer designs their sticker, and the production side, where a print business turns that design into a finished order, within the same system. Rather than exporting files to separate prepress or vector-editing software, businesses can manage sticker orders from design through to production inside DesignO, reducing the manual file preparation that sticker printing has typically required.

The second addition, a Step & Repeat pattern tool, allows design elements to be duplicated automatically across a canvas, with controls for spacing, repeat count, and direction. An Auto Fill function includes several pattern layouts, including full drop, half drop, brick, mirror, and center repeat styles. According to DesignNBuy, this tool is intended for businesses working in digital textile and fabric printing, wallpaper production, event backdrop printing, direct-to-film gang sheets, and repeating logo layouts- categories that have typically required separate graphic design software before reaching a print-ready file.

The update also includes several platform-wide changes aimed at day-to-day catalog and account management. A bulk product update feature allows personalization profiles, clipart libraries, and categories to be edited across multiple products simultaneously, reducing the manual work involved in maintaining large catalogs. Predefined size options are now available for custom-size products across product pages, quote requests, and offline orders, giving businesses more consistent sizing controls across sales channels. The platform’s multi-language support has also been expanded across the design tool and file upload interface, including localized validation messages, and updates to API error handling are intended to simplify debugging during implementation for businesses integrating DesignO with other systems.

Abhishek Agarwal, CMO of DesignNBuy, said the new capabilities were introduced in response to growing customer demand for a more streamlined design and production workflow.

“Print businesses have been asking for a way to offer sticker products and repeating patterns without adding a separate tool to their workflow. This update brings both into the same design environment their teams and customers already use, and it’s part of a broader effort to reduce the number of tools a print business needs to run its online storefront.” — Abhishek Agarwal, CMO, DesignNBuy

CEO Nidhi Agarwal said the update reflects DesignNBuy’s continued focus on helping print businesses expand into new product categories without increasing operational complexity.

“Our customer base spans commercial printing, packaging, apparel, and promotional products, and each of those industries has different catalog needs. This release is meant to give all of them a faster way to add new product categories without added operational complexity, whether that’s a small print shop adding stickers to its storefront or a larger business managing a multi-country catalog.” — Nidhi Agarwal, CEO, DesignNBuy

The sticker and pattern tools are available now to existing DesignO customers, with onboarding support provided as part of the standard DesignNBuy implementation process.
