VB6: enhancing energy metabolism

Vitamin B6 is closely linked with the metabolism of protein. The amount of vitamin B6 needed by livestock and poultry is positively correlated with the protein content in the feed – the higher the protein content, the more vitamin B6 is needed. In protein-rich animal feeds, especially those for aquatic animals such as fish and shrimp, higher content of vitamin B6 in the diet formula can promote animal growth and achieve higher economic yield.

High atom economy: adhering to the idea of green development, NHU adopts the phosphorus-free production process, which uses phosgene as a substitute of phosphorous oxychloride (or solid triphosgene), so as to eliminate pollution caused by the by-products of chemical reactions from the source by avoiding the discharge of wastewater that contains phosphorus. 

More advanced technology: through innovative R&D, NHU has developed a new proprietary route of VB synthesis and has been granted over 20 patents regarding the synthesis of VB6 and its intermediates, reaching world-class level in all fronts, including process, environmental protection, and product quality. 

Safer process: NHU adopts safe and green process rather than the traditional process to improve product safety and better secure product quality.

VB12: promoting animal growth

Vitamin B12, or cobalamin, has the largest and most complex molecule among all vitamins identified today. It is also the only vitamin to have metal ions in its composition. As a nutritional additive to the feed of livestock and poultry, it can effectively prevent stress disorder, resist disease, promote the conversion of the nutrients in the feed, and improve the growth, survival, and reproductivity of livestock and poultry.

Edges in fermentation: NHU adopts advanced activation technology to achieve better stability of strains; applies on-line gas detection to control processes in an effective and timely manner and ensure stable quality; uses large-size fermenters to increase operation efficiency, lower cost, and boost market competitiveness.

Taurine: increasing the value of feed

Taurine is one of the essential additives in cat food and is also needed in feeding other animals to achieve balanced nutrition. The addition of taurine to feed can promote the digestion and absorption of proteins and lipids, promote the growth and development of animals, and improve feed utilization.

Methionine: improving the health of livestock and poultry

As the first limiting amino acid for poultry, methionine is a nutrient fortifier for protein feed and a nutritional additive that balances the supply of amino acids. It is an essential additive in animal feeds that optimizes animal production and health in large-scale up-to-date production systems. The addition of methionine to animal feed can promote growth, improve production performance, boost immunity, and prevent liver disease of animals.

After 10 years of efforts, NHU has set up the first set of large-scale, green, and integrated methionine production facility in China with 100% independent intellectual property rights and developed the feed-grade DL-methionine that disrupted the situation of heavy dependence on the import of methionine in China.

 After many years of technological development, NHU now has 13 domestic patents and 30 foreign patents in methionine preparation and has expanded its sales network in the main markets of methionine, including the US, Japan, Russia, South Korea, Mexico, Germany, France, Belgium, and Spain with stronger market competitiveness.
