Kitecyber Named a SourceForge Fall 2026 Leader in DLP and AI Security
SourceForge recognized Kitecyber’s endpoint-native data loss prevention platform among the top-rated products from more than 100,000 listed on the site, based on user reviews, as organizations look for ways to secure employees’ use of GenAI tools and AI agents.

SAN JOSE, Calif., Oct. 14, 2026 — Kitecyber today announced it has been named a Fall 2026 Leader in DLP and AI Security by SourceForge, based on 86 user reviews averaging 4.9 out of 5. The recognition comes as security teams look for ways to stop sensitive data from leaking into GenAI copilots and autonomous AI agents on company devices.

SourceForge, a software comparison and review marketplace with more than 20 million monthly visitors, awards its Leader badge to products that earn the highest praise in user reviews. Kitecyber was selected from more than 100,000 products listed on the site.

“We’re happy to announce this year’s outstanding Fall 2026 Leaders,” said Logan Abbott, President of SourceForge. “Kitecyber’s DLP and Gen AI security solution showed that they are loved by their users, as evidenced by their large number of outstanding user reviews.”

AI copilots and agents can read, summarize, copy and upload sensitive information at machine speed, often across boundaries never designed with AI in mind. Network tools inspect only the traffic they can see. Legacy DLP suites rely on static regex patterns. API-based DLP secures individual SaaS apps, but not the endpoint where the data actually moves.

“AI agents now move data faster than any employee, and they do it on the endpoint, where network and API-based tools are blind,” said Ajay Gulati, CEO of Kitecyber. “Security teams need to see and stop sensitive data at the moment it enters an AI tool, not find it in a log review weeks later. Hearing that from 86 practitioners who run the product every day matters more to us than any analyst chart.”

Kitecyber follows a model it calls “see, decide, enforce.” One lightweight agent on Windows, macOS and Linux discovers and classifies sensitive data, tracks its lineage, and enforces policy across files, email, browser uploads, SaaS and cloud apps, removable media, and GenAI tools. At the point of risk it can allow, block, warn, coach, log or isolate.

“Context is what separates a real data loss event from an authorized workflow, and that call has to be made in real time at the endpoint,” said Srikanth Chavali, CPO of Kitecyber. “Our engine reads document context, not just a pattern match. That accuracy is what reviewers keep pointing to.”

Protecting data without monitoring prompts. When an employee pastes or uploads content into a GenAI tool, Kitecyber classifies only the sensitive data in that payload. It does not read, store or log the prompt text itself. Security teams enforce data policy without surveilling what employees ask AI, which simplifies privacy reviews under GDPR and works-council rules. The platform also discovers shadow AI use, secures AI agents running on company endpoints, and stops agentic workflows from exfiltrating sensitive data.

One agent, broader compliance coverage. The same agent also delivers secure web gateway, SaaS app protection, zero trust network access and unified endpoint management. That helps organizations map controls for SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA and GDPR from a single deployment; certification still depends on each organization’s own program.
