John Riesen Modern Renaissance Man Taking The Classical Music World By Storm

John Riesen was born on May 29, 1990, and raised in in Ilion, NY. Describing his early childhood as “I grew up in a very loving household. My parents, my older sister and my little brother and I did not have much, but we were rich in spirit.

“My father was a preacher for the First part of my life, before returning to teaching, and my mother took great care of us at home. I wanted for nothing and developed into a high-level athlete (with a focus on baseball) by the time I was an early teenager. Baseball was my life for many years, teaching me discipline, diligence, and stamina both physically and emotionally and to this day I feel it is why I’ve succeeded as a professional singer.”

Prior to singing, John earned Academic All-State accolades in baseball in 2008 and All-Region honors in 2006 and 2007 (also in baseball) in the state of Michigan. During college, his sports

Career soon transitioned into singing, which has influenced his performance ever since.

In his lyrical projects John, displays a fresh perspective on life. “I’d like to be the leading name in the operatic and musical theatre industries singing at the biggest houses in the world. I would also love to branch out in the recording industry and do major collaborations and prove to the world that true opera singers are capable of doing it all, too,” stated John.
