Journalists and film producers Priscilla Rojas and Linda Rojas have carried out more than 35 audiovisual or film productions in the United States working hand in hand with important national channels such as VME TV, EVTV, Univisión, Food Network, Discovery Channel, as well as brands like Pepsi, Mc Cormick, among others.

For the director and producer, Priscilla Rojas, the art of creating content for different platforms, whether in traditional or digital media, is increasing exponentially and much more in these confined days where TV networks have reached records in ratings and subscribers increased in digital media. This means that the entertainment industry will play a more relevant role in pandemic times.

For her part, the Producer and Public Relations Specialist, Linda Rojas, tell us that in terms of content creation “the city of Miami has a lot to offer not only to independent productions but also to the big Hollywood studios. An example of this was Bad Boys III filmed in 2019.”

Among the productions they have carried out with their company Alpha Entertainment Services most of them are documentaries and short films based on real events or society concern stories such as their documentary Venezuela in Agonia won 2 Emmy nominations in 2019; and Agonia, short film with dozens of international awards received in 2018. Their most recent documentary entitled Quarantine Faces have a wide participation of political representatives, health workers, or infected people by COVID-19 from different countries talking about the eco-social and economic consequences of the pandemic.

“During the global health and social emergency, we decided to document what we were experiencing. We began to contact friends, politicians from countries such as Spain, Colombia, and the United States in order to know how Covid-19 was affecting and, therefore, confinement, worldwide. We realized that thanks to digital platforms we were able to directly reach our sources and be able to carry out a unique material in its essence”, said director Priscilla Rojas.

In addition to this, Linda Rojas mentioned to us that “the world belongs to those who persevere. While it is true, we are in confinement, perhaps some more than others, creativity never stops. And that’s the beauty of our career, that we can bring content of interest or entertainment to everyone at home. We are not only making productions with sanitary protocols, or digital concerts, but we are also jurors of film festivals, awards such as Suncoast Emmy and the Telly Awards, and we are proud to be part of these platforms”.

Both filmmakers are worthy of national awards like the Telly Awards for their TV shows for two consecutive years, as well as international awards that show that women and Latinas contribute to the growth of the Hispanic and American entertainment industry.
